Background:
A large regional bank had begun implementing a comprehensive health management program for the first time. They were concerned that they would not get the results they wanted in order to gather appropriate baseline data and knew they needed an incentive, but were not sure what would work best.
Solution:

Results:
When the banks employees were offered $50 cash to complete a health risk assessment, they got 11.6% participation. When a different group of employees at the same company at the same time was offered a $50 award for the same action, the bank received more than 40% participation, a 344% improvement from the cash incentive.
The client also said that it was so much easier to create communications that generated a word-of-mouth awareness in the workforce with the Hallmark Business Connections award rather than cash.
